Dong Nai Province, May 25, 2025 – The groundbreaking ceremony for the "Investment Project for the Construction and Business of Aircraft and Aviation Equipment Repair and Maintenance Services, alongside Ground Commercial Technical Services No. 1" took place today at Areas KV1 – E-07 and E-11 within Long Thanh International Airport, Dong Nai Province. This event marks a significant stride in the development of Vietnam's aviation infrastructure, enhancing service quality at Long Thanh International Airport.
This project is more than just an investment item; it reflects the strategic vision of Vietnam Airlines and VIAGS to transition towards an integrated aviation service provider model.
The project is being implemented to meet the increasing demand for professional maintenance and specialized repair services for aviation vehicles, while simultaneously elevating ground services at Long Thanh International Airport. Spanning an impressive 7,045 square meters, the facility will comprise:
- A two-story maintenance building standing 18.45 meters high, with a floor area of 2,824.9 square meters.
- A four-story administration building reaching 27.65 meters high, with a total floor area of 5,992.4 square meters.
- A synchronized infrastructure system, including a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 150 cubic meters per day, a firefighting pump station adhering to stringent safety standards, an automated vehicle wash area, and 755.5 square meters of meticulously planned green space.
Notably, the project utilizes modern construction technology, boasting a land use coefficient of 0.851, a building density of 29.2%, and a service life of over 50 years. With a total investment of VND 782 billion, the project will not only comprehensively upgrade operational capabilities but also create hundreds of high-quality jobs, contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam's aviation industry.
