On the morning of January 13, 2026, in An Lac Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), the groundbreaking ceremony for the City Archives Center project (Phase 2) was formally held. The ceremony was attended by former leaders of the HCMC Department of Home Affairs, representatives from the An Lac Ward leadership, representatives of the investor – the Binh Tan District Area Construction Investment Project Management Board, representatives of the beneficiary unit; and representatives from the construction, design, and supervision contractors.

This is a project of special significance in modernizing the cultural and historical archival infrastructure of HCMC, with the direct beneficiary being the HCMC Department of Home Affairs - HCMC Historical Archives Center. The project is expected to become a vibrant 'repository of knowledge,' not only meeting the needs for cultural, historical, and scientific-technical research but also serving as a modern cultural destination through unique displays and exhibitions. Simultaneously, it will create a green, sustainable community space and become a signature architectural landmark for the area.
