π GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR THE LONG THANH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE BUSINESS INVESTMENT AND CONSTRUCTION PROJECT NO. 1 π
On the morning of June 15, 2025, the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Investment, Construction, and Business of Aircraft Maintenance Services Project No. 1 at Long Thanh International Airport (also known as the Investment and Construction of Hangar No. 1 Project at Long Thanh International Airport) officially took place at Long Thanh International Airport. This significant project is invested by Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company Limited (VAECO). NAGECCO is proud to be the technical design and construction design consultant for this pivotal endeavor.
This project is an integral part of Vietnam's strategy to synchronously develop its aviation technical infrastructure, aiming to establish a modern, international-standard aircraft maintenance hub right here in Vietnam. With a total floor area of over 31,788 square meters, the facility features three above-ground floors and reaches a height of 34.5 meters. Notably, the Hangar component boasts one of Vietnam's largest steel truss spans, extending an impressive 138 meters.
The project is designed with a modern arch-roof architecture, enabling the simultaneous maintenance of four aircraft (two wide-body and two narrow-body). Complementing this is a multi-functional Backshop system, specialized technical workshops, an administrative-office area, and synchronized technical infrastructure to serve the entire in-house maintenance process. This design meticulously meets stringent national and international requirements for technical standards, safety, and fire prevention and fighting.
