LONG AN COLD STORAGE PROJECT GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY

On the morning of July 22, at Vĩnh Lộc 2 Industrial Park, Ben Luc District, Long An Province, the Provincial Economic Zones Management Board granted an investment certificate to Long An Investment Co., Ltd. On this occasion, the company held the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the 'Long An Cold Storage'.
The project with an investment of up to 1,000 billion VND - is a multi-temperature cold storage system ranging from -25°C to +(18 - 20)°C, suitable for all types of goods that require temperature-controlled storage. The warehouse can store various products from consumer foods to export goods such as fruits, agricultural and marine products, and more.
The Long An cold storage warehouse is expected to be the most modern cold storage facility in Vietnam, with a structure consisting of 1 fully automated cold storage area with a capacity of 40,000 pallets designed with 18-tier storage racks, a semi-automated cold and chilled storage area with a capacity of 15,000 pallets, and a goods processing area including pre-processing, packaging, sorting, and more, fully complying with food safety, environmental protection, and local regulations.
Additionally, the project has also been invested in a rooftop solar power system to be used for the operational activities after the completion of the construction. This demonstrates the investor's implementation of the directive to increase the use of renewable energy, contributing to environmental protection, which is also the "Green Logistics" initiative of the Transimex Group.
In this regard, the development of Logistics services and infrastructure to serve the Logistics of Long An province in particular and the Mekong Delta region in general is of utmost importance. Therefore, the "Long An Cold Storage" project has been invested in at the right time, in line with the company's development goals as well as the Logistics development orientation of Long An province and the Mekong Delta region. The project is expected to be completed and put into use from September 2023.
